"If I wanted to show off for you?" Eva cut in, smirking slightly, glad Ellie hadn't taken offence to her lack of interest in, well, herself. She glanced sideways, taking in the blue hair and wide eyes... guilt crept into her gut. Had she really just instigated all this to get back at Daniel.... right? The smirk slipped into a soft smile. "I'd love to."

"That would be great," Ellie smiled, reassured by Eva's smile. This date was going well already. NOT a date. It wasn't a date. It was... er...
Well whatever it was, it was going well. Ellie relaxed into her seat a bit more, "So, er, have you performed in here much?"

"Impatient much?"
The doors bang loudly behind Laurie as she enters the auditorium, bowl of popcorn in each hand. She wanders between the chairs failing to hide a smirk.
She pauses behind Ellie, "salt or sweet?"

"A few times. I tend not to do it too much as keeping the birds out is a pain for the school." She looks sad for a moment before forcing a brighter smile. "But I've maybe done 2 choir recitals and 3 musicals over the years here. Though after the last time with the hawk and Mia, I'll think twice before auditioning for the end of summer musical." She chuckled at the fond memory.
She jumped slightly at the banging door and twisted round to look at Laurie. "You know that doesn't matter to me." She called. "Just hand over whatever Ellie wants."

"Maybe you just need to incorporate the birds into what you're singing?" Ellie suggested, just before Laurie entered the room.
"Oh, thanks, I'll have, er, sweet?" she smiled, looking over her shoulder at Laurie.

"That's why I made one of each, Eva."
She hands the sweet over to Ellie and the other bowl to Eva,
"Ready to get this show on the road?"

Eva sticks her tongue out playfully in Laurie's direction, sends a wink in Ellie's. "Yeah, lets do this." She settles back and chucks a corn into her mouth, chewing and swallowing wishing she could actually taste the salt.

Ellie giggles a little at the play between Laurie and Eva and settles down with her bowl a little more relaxed.

She returns to the projection room, and settles down with her can of soda and an aged orange.
Through the projection box window she watches the film play out.

Most of the film passes with out incident, the songs are catchy and the plot appealing - Eva quickly cottons on that it's a clear homage to a book in french she read a while back. Still, as brilliant as the film is, the AI keep finding herself distracted, her mind wondering to the girl sat beside her and just what compelled her to suggest a film in the first place. Often, Eva finds herself staring at Ellie rather then the film and has to snap her attention back.

Laurie fails to take in much of the film, she's too distracted.
Between pottering round making and then clearing up the popcorn bags, generally tidying the projection box, and wistfully staring down at the two girls in the auditorium. She's reminded of the last time her and Eva watched soemthing, laughing and talking through the entire thing, with Daniel turning up late, just in time to spoiler himself for the finale.
The silence below is surprising, as are the long moments Eva spends not looking at the screen.

Ellie's seen this film plenty of times and so she finds herself looking to Eva every time a good bit happens to try and gauge her response and is pleased to find she seems to be enjoying it, though occasionally when she turns her head she notices Eva looking at her and begins to wonder whether she's bored? It seems to be as if she's staring at me going 'Why, why did you choose this?!'
As time passes though, Ellie notices this more and more, and finds herself glancing longer at Eva, not entirely consciously...

If Eva could blush, the colour would have permanently stained her cheeks by now. So many times her gaze had been caught by Ellie it was beginning to get a little silly. Still, she couldn't help but keep turning her gaze back...
That was until the film snatches her attention as the female lead chooses the far lesser of the two men for her romanic partner. Eva's brow creases, head tilting to the side. "Wait... what?! Really? Thats her choice? But the Spectre is clearly in love with her and has done so much for her...."

"I mean, he did do a lot, but he did also blow up the Opera House which probably killed a few people," Ellie points out, "Plus there's the whole kidnap thing which I'm fairly sure is not a healthy basis for a relationship..."
Ellie ponders for a moment and shrugs, "Personally I don't think she should have gone for either of them though."

Eva nods slowly, taking in the others point and letting it settle in her mind. "Huh... I see." She smiles and turns back to the screen only to snap back to Ellie at her last confession. "Oh? Really? But don't you think that it would have made for a bit of anti-climatic ending?"
