Time has condensed down into one all encompassing bubble, and everyone through history exists at the same time; as such famous historical figures have finally come head to head and are facing off over the smallest of issues.
I won't sway the initial arguments with my reasoning behind the pairing, but rest assured I have one. Who would win: Joan of Arc or David "Son Of Sam" Berkowitz.

Can someone remind me what Joan of Arc's powers were supposed to be again?

I don't think it's been universally acknowledged that Joan Of Arc had any Super Powers at all. While she managed to completely change the face of the war during the period she was around, it has been argued that she never actively engaged in combat herself. However, peer comments at the time place her ability to inspire and encourage those troops under her command were almost mystical in nature. It is my belief that Joan had the ability to enhance the abilities of those around her, which would explain the change in luck following her death.

Didn't Son of Sam only attack supers and their associated companions, if Joan didn't have super powers I don't see how this conflict makes any sense

Son Of Sam attacked people he perceived as influential leaders. While all of his victims all happened to be supers, it is my belief that that was purely accidental; it's just those he had easy access to, who were in a position to have people follow them, happened to have super powers. Had Joan been around, a commoner who was both influential and shunned from her peer group, she would have been the perfect target.

joan just because she's clearly coolest. although sherlockmoriarty has a point that clearly when she WAS brought down her army stopped being much use without her. but still i think she'd win because she wouldn't be an obvious target for a superhero-targeting person, which would give her time to get defences in place.
