Highschool AU: Lunch Room! {Rules Edited!}

Ellie was transfixed. Her mind was racing with the implication of an AI with such a singing voice, and one that appeared to have some effect on the wildlife. What was it, some sort of perfect frequency for summoning birds? The modulation causing some sort of effect on the birds' brains? She realised that she must have been staring, and so stored the thought for later pursuit.

"That was beautiful," she said, smiling and gazing at the birds.

Max snerks quietly at the statement that student's lunch money will remain where it should, he is very familiar with the shake down manoeuvres performed by certain delightfully polite yet firm memebers of the school.

The dog he gives barely a second glance to, he knows who is the true Alpha of the school and it isn't Arkady's mangy mutt.

His plate of lunch finished, Max pushes the tray back, and turns to straddle the bench, watching the discussion between Arkady, Mia and Mr India with more attention. Watching Mia's back with a lot more attention.

"Is there anything I can help you with, Mia?" he asks, carefully.

Ellie's gaze broke and she started trying to look anywhere but Eva's face, failing somewhat to hide her interest. "No, sorry, I was just, um, er, sorry," eventually looking down at the table, "Sorry."

Rover, having finished the casserole meant for fifty students, wanders over to some of Siren's birds and eats a few.

Laurie hurries back from her conversation with Daniel and shoves the dog away, unafraid of its big teeth against her solid skin. This moment gives the birds all the time they need to escape.

"Did I miss much?" she asks sitting back down beside Eva as she hears her name, looking speculatively at the slightly awkwards space between them

Arkady pulls Rover away and admonishes the creature, explaining that there is a time and a place for eating birds and this is most definitely not it. "By the way, Ellie, if you're trying to meet people you should join the student council. If you can stomach the impossibly dull meetings, there's a lot of very interesting people there. What else is there... Avoid Doctor Moon like the plague, don't listen to Mulholland, and if you need any grass Ocelot is the cheapest. Reckon that's everything. Do have fun." Arkady wanders off in the vague direction of the science lab.

Ellie rolled her eyes at the sound of biology. Of all the sciences she had very little time for Biology she found. She looked at Rover in disdain and then at the back of Arkady before shaking her head. "Is that normal for here?"
